There is a lot of flexibility offered to students, the school has the highest accreditation available, and there are even scholarships to help pay for the program. Understanding what all is offered is the first part to making the decision for the school you want to attend and the program you want to work on. It is a big decision because you will be working on this for at least a year. Before choosing a school to attend, it is best to look at all of the facts. We have gathered 25 facts about the Florida International University Online CMBA program to assist you with this.

  • The Florida State International University School of Business has the highest accreditation that a business school could have: Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
  • There is a rolling application deadline and new terms start every few months. This means you have a lot of flexibility when it comes to your start date. You can start when it fits your schedule and not the other way around.
  • In order to apply for the program, you must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • You must also have a 3.0 GPA from upper coursework. However, if you GPA is lower than 3.0, you must also offer very strong work experience in order to be considered. You must show this by having your transcripts sent to the university in a sealed and official envelope from your previous school.
  • All applicants must either have four years of professional work experience or two years and a GMAT score of 500 or a GRE score of at least 154 verbal and 152 quantitative.
  • If you are a Florida resident, you must provide proof that you have been a resident for at least 12 months. There are several ways that you can provide proof to the university for application purposes.
  • All applicants are required to submit two professional letters of recommendation.
  • You must also submit your statement of purpose. There are specific guidelines for this that are outlined on the university website. This purpose will be approximately two pages in length.
  • The last thing that must be submitted is a copy of your updated professional resume.
  • For international students, you must also provide your score for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). This is to ensure that you can read, write, and understand English as the entire program is taught in this language. For more information on admissions, please visit the website.
  • The tuition for the program is approximately $3,000 oer course, $1,000 per credit hour, or a total od $42,000. These amounts are subject to change so we advise that you check for current pricing on the website to ensure it has not changed or to see the current pricing prior to applying.
  • There are scholarships available for this program specifically. If you qualify for the scholarship and apply for it in time, you can get a large discount on the program. The price of the program with the scholarship is $32,000 total, $22,85.71 per course, or $761.90 per credit. The scholarship is not retroactive so if you get it after you have started the program, it will only apply to the courses you have not yet taken.
